EdReports is an independent nonprofit that aims to ensure that all students have equitable access to high-quality learning materials. Using an educator-led approach, EdReports publishes free reviews of K-12 instructional materials based on standards alignment, usability, and other quality criteria to provide third-party verification that these high-quality instructional programs are helping districts and school systems learn.

EdReports ranks submissions using the following color-coded system: red means that the program does not meet expectations; yellow means that the program partially meets expectations; green means that the program meets all expectations. When a literacy program earns “all-green” ratings, it means that it is a high-quality program that schools can trust that aligns with standards and research-based practices.

Built on the Science of Reading, Foundations A-Z gives educators instructional resources that follow a scope and sequence to integrate all foundational skills, including phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, print concepts, and fluency. We created Foundations A-Z to help teachers witness that magical “aha” moment of watching their students decode a word for the first time.
